JAKI SHELTON GREEN, Poet Laureate of North Carolina, will be the facilitator for a series of four discussions featuring the work of writer James Baldwin.  This is the first in the series.

August 18:  Baldwin's 1963 book of essays, The Fire Next Time

November 17: Going to Meet The Man 

February 2: If Beale Street Could Talk

Jaki Shelton Green is North Carolina's Poet Laureate and the award-winning author of 8 volumes of poetry. She teaches Documentary Poetry at Duke University Center for Documentary Studies.
