This free Mindful Healing Event will be held at Dancing Moon Books & Gifts, Raleigh, NC, from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday January 29th, 2017. Attendees are invited to spend the afternoon learning about positive, healing life practices, and will have the opportunity to participate in several healing energy activities. If you are looking for a special way to boost positive, healthy lifestyle changes for the new year, this is a fun, free event intended to educate and inform through hands-on participation.

Nancy Loeffler founded Being With Grief to help others navigate their own grief journeys. Her new book, The Alchemy of Grief: Your Journey to Wholeness, chronicles her own grief journey, the journey that “brought (her) back to the truth of (her)self”. Nancy is celebrating this milestone in her journey, the release of her book, and invites you to join her in an afternoon of mindful practices. Nancy will lead attendees in guided samyama at 2:15pm, a direct experience practice that teaches present moment awareness and how to be with your feelings as they arise in each moment.

Other mindful and healing activities will be available at this event, including collaging and essential oils education. Collaging and other creative expression can have therapeutic benefits, and essential oils are used for a variety of emotional and physical wellness applications.

“In The Alchemy of Grief, Nancy Loeffler shares her heart-wrenching and ultimately empowering journey through the wild territory of loss. Like a true alchemist, she has transformed the nuggets of wisdom gained from her experiences into practical tools that can help anyone who’s coping with grief find their way home. This is a beautiful and heartfelt book” Marc David and Emily Rosen, Founder & Director of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.

“It is possible to live a meaningful, purposeful and joyful life after you have experienced loss.”
